Catherine Guirkinger, a professor of economics at UNamur, has been invited by KU Leuven to hold a Francqui Chair. This distinction will give her the opportunity to present her research on gender relations and decision-making within households, as well as to strengthen ties between the two universities.

A 16th-century book that was thought to be lost has been identified in the UNamur collections. This copy of the *Garten Büchlein*, printed in 1571, may now be the only known copy in the world.
