The NARC was established by the Board of Directors in 2012 and has two objectives:
- To provide an environment that allows a select group of exceptional young researchers to devote most of their working time to research, while being relieved of administrative, logistical, and other day-to-day burdens;
- To ensure the visibility of the best researchers both within and outside the institution.
Namur Research College fellows are selected on the basis of their own merits, according to a set of rigorous criteria. The fellows’ achievements are evaluated by independent experts.
