The University of Namur continues its commitment to internationalization by obtaining significant funding from the European Union as part of the Erasmus+ Dimension Internationale program. The Applied Materials Chemistry (AMC) laboratory headed by Prof. Carmela Aprile specializes in materials synthesis and their catalytic applications, with a particular focus on sustainable processes. One of the group's strengths is also represented by advanced characterization techniques, in particular solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance, which is developed in close collaboration with Dr. Luca Fusaro.

The absorption of light by molecules has applications in microscopy, medicine and data storage.
