Euraxess

In order to retain the HR | Excellence in Research label, the University of Namur must demonstrate that it is implementing the “Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R),” a strategy to promote researcher mobility, and that it is adhering to the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.  These initiatives will be complemented by an “Open, Transparent, and Merit-Based Recruitment (OTM-R)” strategy implemented by the European Commission in 2018. All of these initiatives are carried out as part of the Euraxess program.

Since September 2023, the University of Namur has strengthened its commitment to implementing a reform of research evaluation by signing the CoARA agreement. By signing this agreement, the University commits to adhering to a set of principles aimed at revising research evaluation criteria, in particular by taking into account the diversity of career paths and emphasizing qualitative criteria over quantitative metrics.
