Baccalaureate holders

The bachelor's degree provides basic training in an academic discipline. At UNamur, beyond the acquisition of theoretical knowledge, you are trained to think critically. Special attention is given to every student in their first year. Facilitating your transition from secondary education to university is our priority.

Studies in mathematics

Developed since the dawn of time, mathematics shapes our daily lives and develops tools for the future. At the heart of hard sciences such as physics, chemistry, and biology, mathematics plays a key role in a large number of applied problems, whether in computer science and telecommunications, through discrete mathematics and algorithms, in meteorology and space science, through the theory of dynamic systems, or in finance and actuarial science, through probability and stochastic processes.

Organizational Structure of the UNamur School of Management (UNSM)

Governing Bodies The “Council” is the Department’s decision-making body. It is chaired by the Department Director, who serves as an academic member elected for a three-year term. The Director sets the agenda, ensures that decisions made by the Council are implemented, and represents the Department in the various bodies of the Faculty and the Institution.  All academic members of the Department are ex officio members of the Council. Other groups (research staff, administrative staff, and students) are represented by members elected for a one-year term. At the initiative of a Council member, depending on the items to be discussed, individuals from outside the Department may be invited.  The “Restricted Council” consists solely of the academic members of the Council. The Council and the Restricted Council typically meet with the same frequency as the Faculty Executive Committees and Councils.  Program DirectorsThe Bachelor’s and Master’s programs are managed by the Program Directors (one for the Bachelor’s in Economics and Management and the Master’s in Management Sciences, and the other for the Bachelor’s in Management Engineering and the Master’s in Management Engineering).  Program Directors are appointed by the Department Chair for a three-year term. Among other responsibilities, they oversee the approval of students’ annual study plans (PAE) as well as admissions.Program Director for the Bachelor’s in Economics and Management and the Master’s in Management Sciences: Michel AjzenProgram Director for the Bachelor of Management Engineering and the Master’s in Management Engineering: Anthony Simonofski Thematic CoordinationEach teaching theme is coordinated by an academic expert in the field. Members of a theme can thus, in consultation with the Program Directors and the Department Director, initiate a reform of the part of the program that concerns them or of the programs as a whole.Coordinator of the “Digital and Information Management” thematic area: Corentin BurnayCoordinator of the “Finance and Quantitative Methods” thematic area: Jean-Yves GnaboCoordinator of the “Organizational and Innovation Management” track: Michel AjzenCoordinator of the “Services and Marketing Management” track: Wafa Hammedi View the organizational chart Learn more about the UNamur School of Management (UNSM) SVG .cls-1 { fill: #323232; stroke-width: 0px; } Home See content SVG .cls-1 { fill: #323232; stroke-width: 0px; } Management research See content SVG .cls-1 { fill: #323232; stroke-width: 0px; } Community Service See content
