Since 2025, the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures has chosen a year-long theme that unites the entire community: students and teachers, all blocks combined. This year will be devoted to the theme of "Lifelines" or in target languages "Lifelines, Levenslijnen, Lebenslinien", a red thread that explores the lives of individuals, their evolution, transmission and the links that weave between the ages. This theme serves as an anchor for courses, assignments, research activities, as well as various activities such as the Cinéclub or field trips organized throughout the academic year. This shared dynamic enriches the learning experience and gives a strong collective identity to the guidance offered within the Department.
Fil rouge 2025: Lifelines, Levenslijnen, Lebenslinien
This year, we have chosen to place the theme of "Lifelines" at the heart of our educational initiatives, a red thread that questions evolution, transmission and intergenerational links through Germanic languages and culture.
