Understand the challenges related to the development of new methods for diagnosis, treatment guidance, and therapeutic monitoring in cancer. Acquire knowledge of fundamental and translational research that has led to the discovery and use of different types of biomarkers. By the end of the course, students will be familiar with current strategies for diagnosis, treatment guidance, and therapeutic monitoring, as well as with new approaches developed in cancer research.
Demonstrate advanced and up-to-date knowledge in the field of diagnostic and therapeutic strategies in oncology.
Identify and integrate the most relevant scientific data related to a given research question.
Understand, present, and critically discuss data published in high-impact scientific articles.
This course aims to highlight the progression of fundamental and translational research in the various strategies used to improve cancer diagnosis, treatment guidance, and therapeutic monitoring.

Lecture-based courses, presentations with PowerPoint slides, use of the blackboard, and online voting system. The courses will prioritize interaction and student participation and will be delivered by the course instructors, as well as invited experts.
