The course aims to explore innovations designed to solve specific organizational and managerial problems, with the intention of implementing them within a company. To this end, students will work in groups to take on the role of a team of external consultants tasked with facilitating change. They will draw on scientific knowledge relating to the topic under consideration and the realities on the ground.
More specifically, the course will guide students in transforming an organizational and managerial solution devised in response to a brief into a concrete implementation proposal. This proposal will consider the organization’s specific constraints, stakeholders, resources, and change dynamics. Students will start with solutions that may have been identified earlier, to clarify the conditions for putting them into practice and develop a realistic implementation strategy.
The course therefore focuses primarily on the transition from solution to action, including its operational translation and implementation, and the management of the change it entails.
This course aims to stimulate students’ analytical and innovative thinking in relation to organizational and managerial issues, while honing their practical skills based on proven scientific approaches.
The course aims to develop students’ ability to transform relevant solutions into innovative yet realistic courses of action that are sustainable and suited to organizational operations.
The objectives are as follows:
1. Acquire an in-depth understanding of, and develop the ability to analyze, organizational and managerial issues.
2. Break down, analyze and interpret an issue within its context using various tools and theories.
3. Refine and clarify a chosen solution in line with the organization’s context and constraints.
4. Translate the solution into concrete actions by specifying the steps, stakeholders, responsibilities, necessary resources and conditions for implementation.
5. Identify obstacles, risks, and areas requiring vigilance that could affect implementation.
6. Anticipate the effects of the solution on individuals, teams, and the organization.
7. Design a change management approach that is tailored to the stakeholders and organizational dynamics involved.
8. Develop the skills of a junior consultant capable of moving from making recommendations to supporting their implementation.

The course begins with a kick-off session that aims to lay the foundations for the role of an external consultant and the implementation of organizational and managerial innovations. Secondly, the brief on which the team of junior consultants will be working will be presented. This will be followed by coaching sessions to support the teams, as well as a reverse hackathon to challenge the proposed innovations. Finally, the solutions will be discussed with a panel of academic and industry experts.
The course is structured around four main stages:
- A kick-off session covering the theoretical foundations, practical requirements and project objectives.
- Meetings with the academic and business coaches.
- A reverse hackathon day
- A presentation of the change management plan to a panel of experts.
Learning outcomes are assessed as follows: consulting report (60%), active participation (hackathon, coaching – 15%), jury defense (25%).
