Digital technology is becoming a subject in its own right. Strengthen your teaching skills and learn about the STEAM educational approach to keep pace with this evolution.
UNamur’s STEAM & Digital microcertifications allow you to develop recognized and valuable skills at your own pace—primarily online—particularly through Open Badges.
Why Get Training?
As society evolves, it is becoming essential to provide digital education while moving beyond a siloed approach to academic disciplines. The STEAM approach helps connect different areas of knowledge and give meaning to learning by engaging students in concrete, creative projects that are relevant to the real world.
A flexible program
The program consists of several micro-certifications that you can take individually or combine based on your goals.
You can explore the STEAM approach to develop interdisciplinary programs, deepen your skills in digital pedagogy, or address issues of gender and citizenship to enrich your teaching practices. A module dedicated to creativity also allows you to gain hands-on experience with new approaches, particularly through a hackathon. All modules can be combined to create a certification track.
Each module represents an estimated workload of at least 60 hours (2 credits) to 90 hours (3 credits). All modules together therefore represent a total workload of 300 hours (9 credits, to be completed with a practical module and a capstone project to earn the certificate). The “Developing Creativity” module involves three days of in-person instruction. All other modules are entirely online and accessible throughout the academic year, allowing you to complete them at your own pace.

These badges can enhance your career path, be included in your resume, or be used to pursue further training.
They allow you to gradually build a coherent and recognized profile, while maintaining a high degree of flexibility in your learning.
A Path Toward a Certificate
Microcertifications are part of a broader learning path. By supplementing them with additional modules, you can earn a recognized university certificate, allowing you to further structure your professional development.
STEAM & Digital microcertifications can thus be supplemented, among other things, by a project that showcases your skills and allows you to earn the additional credits needed to receive a university certificate.
