Learning outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Conduct original experimental research in a research laboratory;

  • Work both collaboratively and independently within a research laboratory;

  • Write a lengthy paper, meeting university academic standards, summarizing the main points of the research conducted;

  • Present the main findings of the research conducted to an academic audience;

  • Defend and justify the research conducted from a scientific perspective;

  • Design and present a poster summarizing the main points of the research project, including some of the work already completed.

Assessment method

The Master thesis is evaluated on the basis of

  • an evaluation by the promotor of the daily work in the lab

  • the evaluation of a written report

  • the evaluation by a jury of an oral presentation of the work and the answer to questions
