The Faculty of Law at the University of Namur (UNamur) has long been committed to the pursuit of academic excellence and inter-university cooperation promoted by the Francqui Foundation.By hosting Belgian and international professors and inviting its own faculty members to other universities, the Faculty of Law actively contributes to the influence of the Francqui Chairs, which serve as true vehicles for scientific exchange, intellectual debate, and the promotion of high-level research.This page presents the general framework of the Francqui Chairs, as well as the history of visiting professors at the UNamur Faculty of Law and UNamur professors invited to other academic institutions.

Bachelor in Biomedical Sciences 3pm - auditorium PA02 (Pedro Arrupe) : Information session for students of the 1st Bachelor in Biomedical Sciences by the Department Director in Biomedical Sciences, Prof. Jean-Pierre Gillet. Attendance at these sessions is compulsory. A student guide will be available on the Bureau Virtuel de l'Etudiant (BVE). From (date to be confirmed), classes resume according to a specific timetable (the 1st quadrimester timetable will be posted at the valves on September 9). After nine years at the helm, Professor Jean-Pierre Gillet has handed over the leadership of the Department of Biomedical Sciences to Professor Marielle Boonen. This is an opportunity to look back on the significant growth of this department, which now trains nearly 500 students each year. 

Extensive deliberations have been conducted to strengthen the fundamental research focus of the Master’s program in Biomedical Sciences at UNamur by integrating the curriculum from the Master’s program in Biochemistry and Molecular and Cellular Biology (BBMC). This ambitious project has led to the design of an entirely new program, conceived to fully leverage the complementary strengths of these two programs.
