The department includes several academics each specialized in specific fields, assistants, thesis and post-doctoral researchers and a technician. Usuals, general works and literary works are available to students in the department.The department's library contains usuals (encyclopedias, dictionaries, grammars, etc.), general theoretical works, and literary works enabling students to read up on the subjects taught in French and Romance languages and literatures: literature, linguistics, French language and Romance languages. In practice Where? On the 2nd floor of the Faculté de Philosophie et Lettres building (access rue Grafé 1), in the "Séminaire de littérature" and "L7"Who?It is accessible free of charge to all students of the faculty and to any outside reader who so wishes. When? On weekdays, the library is generally open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, except during the time when the reading room is occupied for a course. The Department of Medicine is equipped with an anatomy laboratory and a clinical teaching support laboratory.Other research entities belonging to the Faculty of Medicine are transversal and also rely on collaboration with UCL Godinne University Hospital within the Namur Institute for Life Sciences (Narilis) research institute.

The library is specially organized for the department's students, to facilitate their access to the main philosophical texts and their commentaries (mainly in French ). It also contains a good stock of secondary literature on subjects that are the subject of teaching (social and political philosophy, logic, aesthetics, anthropology, etc.), always in French. A special part of the library is also devoted to working tools (encyclopedias, philosophy textbooks and dictionaries)..
