The objective of the course is to enable tomorrow's economists and managers to master legal vocabulary, to understand the legal rules governing economic activity and their ratio legis, and to identify and apply the main legal rules to a given situation, while enabling them to develop a critical sense in the light of current events.
Education for sustainable development is essential to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. That is why it is a goal in its own right in the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDG 4).
Particular attention is therefore paid in the Economic Law course to sustainable development and transition, in all its various components (planet, people, prosperity, peace, partnership). In terms of content, the course places special emphasis on how economic law is being transformed by the ecological transition and how economic law can support this transition.

There are three practical exercises, relating to the three parts of the course (contract law, business law and corporate law).
Participation in the practical exercises is free except for students in "BAC-économie et gestion" (4 ects).
Learning is based on two pillars:
i. a lecturing in the classroom or, where appropriate, online ;
ii. a teaching support, consisting of PowerPoint slides,caselaw and models of legal acts;
Regarding their program, students can also have interactive practical work (e.g. resolution of cases, drafting of contractual clauses, etc.) in the classroom or, where appropriate, with distance tools.
If the theme is appropriate, the lecture will include the analysis of caselaw or contractual clauses.
The examination takes the form of a written examination with two or four types of questions:
i. Tests (True or False, MCQ)
ii. Resolution of a case
iii. Commentary on a court decision
iv. Transversal issue
Where applicable, the student's participation in certain activities (such as ‘interfaculty sessions’) may be taken into account in the final assessment.
