Overview
In collaboration with the Namur Technical Institute (ITN), the Faculty of Education and Training offers theoretical and practical training to prepare students for the CAPAES.
The CAPAES is a mandatory certificate, established by decree of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, which enables teachers currently employed at universities, in adult education institutions offering higher-level programs, in higher arts schools, or any member of the academic or scientific staff responsible for teaching at a university (even if they do not previously hold a teaching credential) to obtain an appropriate teaching credential
IMPORTANT! For teachers in educational categories who teach pedagogy, didactics, or training through and by practice, the required qualification is the Master’s degree in Teacher Education (MSFE).

The CAPAES is awarded to candidates who have successfully completed all three components (theoretical, practical, and personal portfolio).
