Learning outcomes

The main objective of this course is to acquire a global vision of the tools allowing the synthetis of natural molecules : synthetic strategies, the proper choice of condensation and macrocyclisation reagents etc... This course will also relie on the in-depth study of research publications.

Content

The total or hemi-synthesis of the following class of molecules will be covered : - epothilones - steroids - polyenes - taxol - biomimetic synthesis of natural products.

Interactive oral course with permanent participation of the students.

Assessment method


The evaluation takes the form of the preparation and oral presentation of a bibliographic topic related to the field of natural product synthesis.
