Annick Castiaux, Rector of UNamur, would like to say a few words following this change in the chairmanship of the Board of Directors: "Today, I am very enthusiastic to begin a new collaboration with Pierre Crevits, with whom I have already discussed the role and missions of the Board of Directors. We will work together to develop UNamur. I would like to sincerely thank Cédric Visart de Bocarmé for the quality of his work as Chairman of the Board of Directors over the past four years. I would also like to warmly thank Guido Jardon and Laurent Boulanger for their dedication and commitment throughout their term of office on the previous Board of Directors. I would also like to thank Jacques Gérard for agreeing to take on the role of Vice-Chair."

Following his appointment, Pierre Crevits, CEO of Dexia and alumnus of UNamur (Faculty of Economics, majoring in "economic analysis," class of 1990), shared his initial reactions: "I am very honored to have been considered to join the external members of the UNamur Board of Directors and to have been appointed its Chairman. I want to give back to my university what I can. I would like to express my sincere thanks to Cédric Visart de Bocarmé, whom I am succeeding as Chairman of the Board of Directors of UNamur, for the work he has accomplished over the past four years. I intend to continue the work he has started and will strive to bring about change where the context requires it. I would also like to let the members of the university know that I am available to meet with them. Please do not hesitate to contact me!"
