On January 23 and 24, 2025, UNamur experts were present at the SETT (School Education Transformation Technology) trade show for its sixth edition. A must-attend event for digital education in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, dedicated to principals, teachers and technical-pedagogical advisors.

Intended primarily for master’s and doctoral students, this program will aim to guide participants through a step-by-step process of mastering the fundamentals of diplomatic science. To this end, it will combine lectures delivered by members of the team, opportunities to meet and exchange ideas with internationally recognized specialists in the field, and practical exercises using unpublished documentary collections held at the State Archives in Namur. Edited by two professors from UNamur, this anthology brings together the work of 18 researchers focusing on some 50 rare books, selected from among the more than 900 editions by Christophe Plantin held by the University. Supported by the Institut Moretus Plantin Public Benefit Foundation, this project marks the first step leading up to the launch, in September, of a new research initiative on multilingualism and translation practices in the editions of the Antwerp printer. 

Stanford University has published a prestigious ranking that highlights the most influential researchers in a wide range of scientific fields. The list, based on bibliographic criteria, aims to provide a standardized means of identifying the world's scientific leaders. It is one criterion among others for assessing the quality of scientific research. Twelve researchers from the University of Namur are among them!

A delegation from the Université de Namur took part in an exploratory mission to the Université Cheikh Anta Diop (UCAD) in Dakar, Senegal. The aim: to discover the research carried out in the field, meet UCAD researchers and initiate future collaborations between the two institutions.
