By car
Namur is at the crossroads of the E411 (Brussels-Luxembourg) and E42 (Liège-Mons) motorways. Join the E411 (Brussels-Luxembourg) towards Namur. Namur is a congested city, and access is increasingly difficult by car.
From the E411 freeway to UNamur via the park-and-ride facility
The city of Namur offers a parc relais along the Meuse where a very attractive package will allow you to park your vehicle all day and take a fast shuttle bus to the city center (10'). To find it, follow the P+R sign as you leave the freeway. Leave the E411 at exit 14 "Bouge-Namur". Go towards Namur for about 2.5 km. The P+R parking lot appears on your right. Stop at the P+R sign, take your ticket and from there take any bus (they all go towards the center). For more information, visit the mobility site of the city of Namur.
From the E411 freeway to UNamur without park-and-ride facilities
Leave the E411 at exit 14 "Bouge-Namur". Go towards Namur for about 2.5 km. On the other side of the railway bridge, turn right at the traffic lights (towards the station). Turn right and drive under the Louvain bridge. Drive past the station. Bear left into the tunnel. At the end of the tunnel, you'll find the university district on your left.
Use the UNamur visitor parking lot
The University parking lots are reserved for staff members. The visitor parking lot is located on rue Henri Lemaître and is accessible by means of an access sticker (ask your host). To get there, follow the above itinerary (straight ahead at the tunnel exit). Cross the Sambre bridge. Continue as far as Place Wiertz (a traffic circle with a statue of King Leopold II). Take the last exit, the leftmost road (Avenue Reine Astrid). Then take the first street on the left, after about 300m (rue Henri Lemaître). Continue to the end of the street. You'll see the entrance to the "UNamur visitors" parking lot on your left. Leave your car there...Cross the Sambre on foot over the bridge you came over by car and walk along the Park. You'll see the Faculty of Economics, Social Sciences and Management. The other faculties are not far away (consult the campus map).
Use on-street parking
If you want to park in the city, on-street parking is chargeable, as is underground parking (cheaper for longer durations). The availability of on-street spaces is becoming increasingly limited. For more information on parking options, visit the mobility site of the city of Namur.
