This course aims to deepen basic knowledge, the analytical tools, and methodological thinking. It will also involve getting familiar with contextualization from a historical perspective.

Content

The artistic production of the Early Modern period (excluding architecture) will be approached through thematic, iconographic, or monographic modules. Each topic will allow you to explore one or more periods and to consider various mediums like painting, sculpture, miniature, tapestry, engraving, ...

Teaching methods

The presentation of the topics will be accompanied by image projections and readings (which will be available through WebCampus). Students are encouraged to actively participate in the sessions to practice analyzing the works.
