After more than two years of research, a team comprising the University of Namur, the University of Liège, and Can Tho University in Vietnam has succeeded in breeding Pangasius krempfi in captivity—a catfish capable of living in both freshwater and brackish water. This is a significant step forward for the DIVERSAQUA project, which aims to develop aquaculture better suited to the increasing salinization of the Mekong Delta.
