The research project “The Poetics of the Stadium: Banners, Chants, and Fan Shouts” aims to study the full range of discourses produced within the stadium and to examine their poetics, the practical conditions of their creation, dissemination, and circulation, as well as the social and political issues associated with them: What discursive registers are brought to life through fans’ speech? What micro-fictions do they sketch out? What are their rhythms? How is a tifo created? Who is responsible for its production? How are chants taught? What cultural references do they draw upon? What political affiliations do they reflect? How do they circulate?

While a work of art is generally presented and received in its finished form, it can be understood as the result of a process of varying length. This research project aims to examine the initial stages of this process by focusing on the exploratory phases of literary and cinematic projects.This project is a joint initiative of the Master’s program in Film Cultures and Thought at the University of Namur and OLSa.

The first research project of the Observatoire des Littératures Sauvages was launched as part of an FNRS Scientific Initiative Grant titled “Tags, Collages, Banners: The Sociopoetics of Unconventional Writing in French Social Protests (2016–2022) .”

Conceived as an open network, the OLSa brings together researchers interested in cultural and literary productions that can be described as “wild.” The individuals listed below are currently participating in or have previously participated in the OLSa’s activities. 

This second OLSa project, launched by Manon Houtart and David Vrydaghs, aims to take a fresh look at the non-book works of Belgian and French Surrealists, focusing on printed and unprinted media that fall outside traditional publishing channels —from leaflets to performances, from posters to concerts—and by paying close attention to the ways poetry circulates in everyday life. 

Research at NaLTT focuses on the following topics:

Supported by an FNRS research grant (2025–2027), this project takes as its starting point the fact that the adaptation of poetry to advertising has helped to reinforce its presence in urban spaces, so that it now frequently appears on the walls of our cities, often in the form of fragmentary quotations and isolated verses.

Preparatory courses help prospective medical and veterinary students prepare for the entrance exam.

The program includes presentations by experts on Raman microscopy and its applications, hands-on sessions, and a tour of the facilities.Participants will have the opportunity to interact with specialists from ST Instruments and the Lasers, Optics & Spectroscopies platform during hands-on workshops and networking sessions.This event allows doctoral students to earn 1 ECTS credit; a certificate of participation can also be issued upon request.The morning will conclude with a networking lunch, and the afternoon will end with drinks. This event is free, but registration is required.  Download the programme
