The UNamur takes part in the Belgian State visit to South Africa
Since Wednesday 22 March 2023, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde are on a Belgian state visit to South Africa. Annick Castiaux, UNamur rector, is part of the Belgian delegation accompanying this important trip. The objective is to deepen the relations between Belgium and South Africa, which is the second largest economy in Africa and plays a leading role on the continent.

The winners of the MT180 competition 2023 edition
On 24 March, the regional competition My Thesis in 180 seconds (MT180), a competition to popularise knowledge and research, took place at the UNamur. Introduced by Carine Michiels, Vice-Rector for Research and Libraries, and presented by Anne-Sophie Bruyndonxckx, this 2023 edition brought together 12 candidates from the Faculties of science, law and computer science.

FUCID participates in the Uniservitate Global Symposium
The 3rd Global Uniservitate Symposium was held in Rome on 27 and 28 October 2022, under the theme "Service Learning and the Global Compact on Education: Educating for Fraternity in Higher Education". Participatory funding: Specularia, experimental archaeology project
The Department of Art History and Archaeology of UNamur is participating for the first time in an experimental archaeology project, within the framework of a doctoral thesis on the production of glass in the Roman period. Conducted in partnership with Malagne, the Rochefort archaeopark, the Specularia project aims to gain a better understanding of the reality of the gestures and techniques of Gallo-Roman craftsmen and to scientifically validate hypotheses that are still debated today. To carry out this experiment, the Department of Art History and Archaeology is launching its first participatory funding.
