Teaching kindergarten to secondary 3 (sections 1 to 3)

The Reform of Initial Teacher Training (RFIE) began in 2023. To become a teacher in sections 1 to 3 (from reception to secondary 3), students must now follow a 4-year course, organized by a high school (referent establishment) in co-graduation with one or more universities. The University of Namur co-organizes training courses with Hénallux (referent) and UCLouvain, as well as with IMEP for music teaching.

To prove that a student is unable to take part in an assessment, he or she may present a medical certificate covering the period in question.§3.
