Veterinary medicine is a discipline at the crossroads of medicine, biology, agronomy, and pharmacy. It focuses on the collective and individual health of farm and companion animals, as well as its implications for the environment, human health, and society. At the forefront of public health management and contagious disease surveillance, veterinarians are also spearheading biomedical research in humans and animals. In this sense, veterinary medicine is an indispensable link in global health. 

The fight against disease is both a science and an art. Knowledge of human beings, pathologies and medicines is the key to fighting disease. But the essence of the medical art is practiced in contact with patients, who are looking for a doctor who is rigorous, with solid knowledge and sound reasoning, but who is also deeply warm and human.

To start studying biology, you need to be passionate about living organisms and enjoy questioning yourself to understand how they function, behave and evolve in relation to the environment. You need to tackle the subjects right from the start and manage to balance work and leisure. Personally, I study best in the quiet of the library.
