The evocative power of cinema helps us better understand modern digital issues. This is what Benoît Vanderose and Anthony Simonofski, professors at the University of Namur in the Faculty of Computer Science and Management Science, wish to highlight through their "Pop-Code" podcast. The authors explore the use of Pop-Culture for digital education, while examining its challenges and limits. With almost 10 episodes, "Pop-Code" has just celebrated its first anniversary, and the authors are already setting high ambitions for the coming months.

The Ten-years Most Influential Paper award has just been presented to three members of UNamur's Faculty of Computer Science: Xavier Devroey, Gilles Perrouin and Maxime Cordy. The award recognizes the paper published ten years previously that has had the greatest impact on the research community. Otherwise, a student's absence from an assessment will be sanctioned by a mark of 0/20.§2. To prove that a student is unable to take part in an assessment, he or she may present a medical certificate covering the period in question.§3. It is forbidden to take part in an assessment during the period covered by a medical certificate. The student who participates in an assessment despite a deficient state of health or serious personal problems, cannot under any circumstances have the result subsequently cancelled, even with a medical certificate or any other attestation. Floriane Goosse, a PhD student at the University of Namur, within the NaDI-CeRCLe research center, has received the prestigious "Best Research Paper Award" for her thesis paper conducted in collaboration with Wafa Hammedi, professor in the Department of Management at UNamur, and Dominik Mahr, from Maastricht University.
