What? BENEVOL on Thursday and Friday, November 21 and 22: the congress will bring together researchers working in software engineering, evolution, and maintenance. This year, we will have two keynotes: one by Prof. Andy Zaidman from TU Delft and one by Prof. Sonia Haiduc from Florida State University. Mental health is a central issue in today's society. According to AXA's international Mind Health report (2024), nearly half of Belgians (49%) report psychological difficulties, and 1 in 5 encounter serious problems in coping with them.

Gilles Perrouin has just received the award for the most influential paper at the SPLC2024 conference. This award highlights a successful line of research on software product line testing, already awarded in February 2024.

The main mission of the Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology Research Unit (URPC) is to conduct studies and research aimed at evaluating the efficacy, safety and clinical impact of drugs, treatments and medical interventions. Two new Master's degree specializations are on offer from the start of the new academic year. One will provide training in general medicine, the other in the management and economics of sustainable development. Other pedagogical innovations in existing course programs are also proposed, including a course designed to train block students in the challenges of Artificial Intelligence and develop their critical thinking skills to use AI in a relevant way. Through these innovations and new features, UNamur is demonstrating its ability to constantly adapt its educational offering in response to changes in society.

Each year, UNamur's Faculty of Computer Science awards the Prix Jean Fichefet for the best master's thesis in computer science. From the 2022-2023 year, there will be two awards, which are entitled: Best Thesis Award (General Impact) and (Societal Impact).
