September 1961. A few professors and about fifteen students are entering the Faculty of Economics, Social Sciences and Management at UNamur for the very first time. It was 60 years ago, in the house of Marmol, Rampart of the Virgin. Today, the classrooms are no longer the same, the professors have succeeded one another, the course programs have continued to evolve... but it is always with the same passion that the faculty supports its students.

The Summer School in International Finance takes place every summer at UNamur. About fifteen students from the Michigan State University spend a month in Namur, accompanied by two professors. At the initiative of this summer school, Antoinette Tessmer, a former doctoral student from UNamur, now professor of Finance in the USA. An experience which combines finance and French lessons, service to society and the discovery of Belgium in all its aspects.

In the summer of 2022, we set out to discover the UNamur Qualified researchers who were awarded funding by the FNRS in 2022. His research focuses on citizen participation and its impact on solving the crisis of democracy.

Gnoari Tankoano and Mathieu Traore, PhD students from Bukina Faso, have just spent three months at the Faculty of Law of UNamur.
