Biography

Damien Pennetreau is a postdoctoral researcher whose work spans discourse analysis, public policy analysis, and media content analysis. He is currently investigating media coverage of democratic innovations and its effects on public policy as part of the ERC Citizens Impact project. His previous research explored employment policy discourse in the media and among citizens (ERC Qualidem; F.R.S.–FNRS FRESH grant), and he has studied how Members of the European Parliament justify their positions. In parallel, he works on media regulation and serves a mandate at the Conseil supérieur de l’audiovisuel, the regulatory authority for French-speaking Belgium.
