The Reform of Initial Teacher Training (RFIE) began in 2023. To become a teacher in sections 1 to 3 (from reception to secondary 3), students must now follow a 4-year course, organized by a high school (referent establishment) in co-graduation with one or more universities. The University of Namur co-organizes training courses with Hénallux (referent) and UCLouvain, as well as with IMEP for music teaching.

The Faculty of Education and Training organizes several certifying programs in partnership with other faculties or higher education establishments.

The ICTE and PUNCh units are active members of the Open Learning Lab (OLL). The Open Learning Lab is a partnership between several institutions with the same objective of increasing the sharing of resources between them.

How to cope with the Y2K bug? How to ensure the transition to a single currency in Europe, the euro? It's the late 1990s, and the need for IT manpower is greater than ever to meet the growing needs of the IT industry. It was against this backdrop that UNamur and its Faculty of Computer Science boldly and proactively developed a new course of study: a staggered timetable leading to a Master's degree in Computer Science. Twenty-five years later, interest in this training and its societal necessity are more relevant than ever.

This master's degree of specialization is aimed in particular at future (or current) instructors at Hautes Écoles and Écoles Supérieures des Arts, in charge of UEs linked to didactics, pedagogy and training to and through practice in the master's programs in teaching sections 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, who will need to have this diploma within six years of first appointment to a position for which this master's degree is required.
