On Thursday, March 12, students from the Master’s program in General Medicine and the Master’s program in Pharmaceutical Sciences at UNamur, as well as students from the Master’s program in Nursing at Henallux, gathered to test “Eugène’s Journey,” an immersive game created as part of the PUNCh (Namur University Pedagogy in Transition) project. This educational game was designed to strengthen communication and collaboration among future healthcare professionals. Following the gameplay phase, a structured debriefing was conducted with the students to transform the experience into a collective learning opportunity.

The University of Namur participated in the recent Belgian state visit to Norway with the aim of strengthening collaboration between Belgian and Norwegian universities on major scientific and societal challenges. The Bachelor in Law with a minor in Political Science at the University of Namur allows you to combine a comprehensive legal education with an integrated and complementary program in political science.As part of your Bachelor of Law program, you will take courses in political science, international relations, and public governance. Only one or two additional courses are added to your annual curriculum. Upon completion of this track, you will have direct access to the Master’s in Political Science at UCLouvain, in addition to access to the Master’s in Law. UNamur was a pioneer in creating, in 2014, an internship in General Medicine, compulsory for all bachelier 3 students. For about a decade, a disease has been attracting the attention of the medical community. Its name: sarcopenia. This condition affects more than 10% of people over the age of 65 and is characterized by a significant loss of muscle mass and strength. Charlotte Beaudart, a member of the Department of Biomedical Sciences and the NARILIS Research Institute, has made a name for herself on the international stage in recent years by contributing to a better understanding of this disease and raising awareness about it.

How can women be better protected against the risks of thrombosis associated with the contraceptive pill? Researchers from the Department of Pharmacy at UNamur have just developed an innovative prediction model that can estimate the risk of thrombosis associated with taking combined oral contraceptives at an earlier stage. The ultimate goal is to support healthcare professionals in prescribing the right pill for each patient.

Conceived and produced by four UNamur students and coordinated by the University Community Life Service (VéCU), this project offers an inspiring showcase for the careers, voices, and commitments of these women who bring the institution to life on a daily basis.
