Synthetic choirs | A choir of robots created at the UNamur

"It's not Rocket Science" winners announced
Collyne Hérion and Clara Havelange, students in their first year of pharmacy, brilliantly won the "It's not Rocket Science" competition organised by the UNamur Department of modern languages during the Spring Science Week. They succeeded on the theme of osmosis. As part of the English course, the students had to popularise a scientific concept by making a video, in the manner of Jamy and Fred in the French television programme "C'est pas sorcier". The idea behind the project was to have fun and offer a concrete approach to learning English. Interview.

"Daring to ask": the challenge for medical students to detect domestic violence
To raise the awareness of future doctors to the issue of domestic violence, particularly during pregnancy, which is a riskier situation: this is the programme of the next practical work on "professional communication in health" in the medical psychology course, taught to the UNamur 3rd year of bachelor’s degree in medicine students. This awareness-raising is done in the form of an escape game "Do you dare to ask the question", designed by two midwife teachers from the Hénallux paramedical department. This is a unique educational initiative and a first-time collaboration aimed at future doctors in Wallonia.

Discovering the many careers in law
More than 300 students in the Bachelor of Law programme, from both the daytime and the evening shift, took their heads out of their syllabi for an evening to project themselves into their future. Like every year, their faculty had invited them to meet with law professionals. Each of them shared their passion, their daily life, but also the darker aspects of their work. It was a perfect opportunity to discover what lies behind the many opportunities in law, grouped into five panels: lawyers, the judiciary, notaries, bailiffs, and politicians (parliamentary attachés or diplomats).

Bicycle challenge : UNamur mobilized for Télévie
1,481 is the number of kilometers covered by the university community during the bicycle challenge it organized for the benefit of Operation Télévie of the Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique. Thanks to the mobilization of the staff and students, and with the help of its partners and sponsors, UNamur handed over a cheque for €20,000 during the Télévie evening. This is one more step for cancer research!
