First of all, following the discontinuation of the St. Nicholas procession, it is essential to reinvent an equally emblematic event. This festival is highly representative of our university life. Together with the office and the collectives, I want to propose a new formula that is attractive, festive and unifying.
On the prevention side, I'd like to salute the exemplary work of Margaux Homans around risk reduction (alcohol, consent, sexual health, etc.). I'm convinced that Virgile will pursue this mission with the same rigor. I'd like the Student Council to be fully involved in this campaign, and why not set up a working group on this topic, which deserves real involvement.
To combat disinterest and put the spotlight back on student commitment, we'll be launching a series of 10 immersive videos, filmed at the heart of the various collectives: 3 videos for the circles, 3 for the regionals, 3 for the kots-à-projets and one for the Student Council. The aim of these videos is to show what goes on behind the scenes, the values and, above all, the usefulness of these collectives in campus life. They will be broadcast on our platforms and on the AGE website. Because to enhance is to attract.
Also in line with this desire to bring people together, I'd like to organize a grand gala at the Arsenal, an event that would bring together students and staff members in a festive, chic and convivial setting. It would be the perfect opportunity to break down barriers and create links.
Finally, Emilien has launched the project of creating real integration days for new students, which I'd like to set up. Welcoming first-year students is a crucial step. These days will take place over several days: a tour of the campus and its key sites, a barbecue and a welcome party. Followed the next day by an exhibition of university services and kots-à- projets. The idea is to give newcomers a real gateway to student life in Namur, by highlighting the diversity of what UNamur has to offer.
