Bibliographical sketch:

Ravikumar Jimmidi received his Master degree in Chemistry from the Kakatiya University, Warangal, India, in 2009. He then started his doctoral studies in Organic Chemistry under the supervision of Professor Prabhat Arya at the “Dr. Reddy’s Institute of Life Sciences“, University of Hyderabad Campus, Hyderabad, India. During that time he Synthesized natrual product inspired benzofuran-derived bioactive macrocycles and Eribulin fragment-based hybrid macrocycles. He obtained his PhD in 2015. After his doctoral studies, he had one year experience in GVKBiosciences Private Limited as Associated Scientist and nine months experience in Sai Life Sciences, Hyderabad, India.

In November 2016, he obtained a position at the “Université de Namur” (Belgium), as a Postdoctoral Research fellow (FNRS) and is currently working on the glycofullerene project which is aim to mechanism studies of glycosidase inhibitors.
