Bibliographical sketch:
Julien A. Delbrouck graduated from the University of Namur with a first-class honors degree in Chemistry Sciences in 2014. He worked on a multistep synthesis of C-nucleosides during his Master’s studies at Namur. He then moved to Basel for a three months internship in the pharmaceutical and early development department of Hoffmann La Roche where he worked in the field of infectious diseases.
Since october 2014, He is working toward a PhD degree under the supervision of Prof. Stéphane Vincent (UNamur), with research in the field of bio-organic chemistry. The two main project are related to: A) the debenzylative cycloetherification reaction applied to multistep synthesis B) the preparation of new fluorinated substrates analogues of UGM, a key enzyme involved in the mycobacterium tuberculosis cell wall biosynthesis.
He obtained his PhD in November 20th, 2018.
