Marine LACRITICK obtained her Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry from the Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III (Toulouse, France) in 2018. During that time, she made an internship on “Synthesis of natural signal molecules and analogs as Quorum Sensing Inhibitors in Pseudomonas aeruginosa” in Laboratoire de Génie Chimie (LGC).
Then, she started to work in UNamur as assistant in chemistry, in September 2018. She is teaching general and organic chemistry to Bachelor’s students.
She currently works on the “Synthesis of new molecular probes to identify and label bacteria’” under the supervision of Professor Stéphane VINCENT, in CBO team. Her research project consists to synthesize potential organic compounds able to visualize and understand Brucella’s ability to survive and multiply in professional and non-professional phagocytes, and cause infection.
This PhD program is performed in very close collaboration with Microbiology Department (URBM).
