Organic synthesis
Our laboratory is specialized in the multi-step synthesis of complex glycoconjugates: nucleotide-sugars, glycofullerenes, glycolipids and functionalized carbohydrates.

Given the biosynthetic pathways we are targeting, we are also specialize in phosphorous and fluorine chemistries. Thus, beside the rational design of inhibitors, novel synthetic methods are also developed in the laboratory.
The laboratory is fully equipped to perform multistep organic synthesis, including all the required analytical tools (NMR, HPLC-MS, IR, polarimetry).
For the purification of final polar molecules, the laboratory is equipped with 2 HPLC systems (analytical and semi-preparative).

The laboratory may develop its own inhibition assays which are conducted on microtiter plates (fluorescence polarization, UV or luminescence) or directly by HPLC. |
