The Assembly of Project Houses, more commonly known as AKàP, is a body of the General Student Assembly of the University of Namur (AGE) that represents the student project dorms and non-drom projects of the University of Namur.
The AKàP
The AkàP is run by a committee made up of several students. Their mission is to help project rooms with their management and promotion, as well as coordinating their activities. The AkàP thus helps students with their projects and also organizes events such as Project Dorms Week, the Project Dorms Fair, the AkàP Gala, and all kinds of parties!
Committed project-based student housing
A project-based student residence is a group of students who come together to champion a meaningful project that contributes to campus life or society more broadly. In addition to living together in the same shared accommodation, the students carry out a project that is close to their hearts. The University supports the projects both in terms of financing activities and promoting engagement. At the University of Namur, there are around ten project-based student residences, and it is also possible to create a new one with a group of friends.
Among the themes of the project-based student housing are: the environment, social inclusion, theatrical improvisation, sports, local consumption, board games, health, artistic activities, etc.
