Biography
Olivier Deparis, Director of the LPS, is also affiliated with the PATHs, NAXyS and NISM Institutes (NOP research cluster) and leads a research team within the Solid State Physics Laboratory (LPS).

Physics: radiation-matter interactions, scattering and propagation of electromagnetic waves in structured media in one, two or three dimensions, surface plasmons
Optical engineering: optical sensors, lasers, optical fibres
Materials science: oxide glasses, nanocomposites, metallic nanoparticles, chromogenic materials, metrology of photonic components and devices
Photonics: artificial and biological nanostructures, photonic crystals, thin films and multilayers
Experimental techniques: spectrophotometry, reflectometry, colorimetry, deposition of thin films by magnetron sputtering, electron microscopy, polarisation of glasses under an electric field
