The MAGIS program is a unique and exclusive exchange program that will transform you into a global citizen, a global agent of change.

Description

The MAGIS exchange program is an official program of the International Association of Jesuit Universities (IAJU). It aims to be innovative and unique by offering to help students discern their role as global agents of change, promoting men and women with Jesuit values and service to others, and encouraging leadership and reflection on today's pressing social and environmental issues.

The MAGIS exchange program is offered to Block 3 students (all majors) of the EMCP Faculty.

It includes three components:

  • Participation in an international online course Global environmental citizenship taught by a professor from Loyola University Chicago;
  • The completion of a "course" exchange stay in the first quadrennium of Block 3 at one of the partner Jesuit universities:
    • in Europe: IQS, Loyola Andalucia University, Universidad Pontificia Comillas-Madrid, ...)
    • or outside Europe : Creighton University, Loyola University New Orleans, Rockhurst University, University of Scranton, Sophia University, Universidad Católica del Uruguay, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Cali), Universidad del Pacífico-Lima, ...)

This stay is supported by a "course" mobility grant for partner universities where a bilateral agreement has been concluded with UNamur.

  • During this exchange stay, the completion of a service learning mission.

Application and conditions

To participate in the MAGIS program, an application must be submitted in the academic year preceding the exchange trip. The quality of the student's academic background, knowledge of languages and motivation are taken into account in the selection of applications.
