ObjectiveS

This Erasmus+ programme activity enables academic, administrative and/or technical staff to undertake a training period of two to seven days in a company, university or other institution in another country which is a member of the programme (EU Member States and third countries associated to the programme, i.e. Norway, Iceland, Macedonia and Turkey).

The objectives are as follows:

  • to enable staff in higher education to acquire knowledge or expertise through experience and practical exposure in another European country, as well as practical skills that will be of use in their current work and for professional development;
  • to aid with the development of cooperation between higher education institutions and businesses.

The visit spent in a company /university or another institution can take different forms: short period of secondment, observation visit in a workplace, study visit, workshop, etc. Conferences are not eligible

Eligibility criteria

The application must detail the training plan mutually agreed between UNamur and the host company/university or institution. This plan must include, as a minimum:

  • the aim and objectives,
  • the expected results in terms of skills to be acquired,
  • the detailed programme for the training period,
  • a reasoned opinion of the line (and functional) manager at UNamur

Financial support

Financial support from the Erasmus+ programme is calculated on a flat-rate basis:

The contribution to travel costs is based on the one-way distance provided by the European Commission’s Distance calculator tool.

Staff who opt for a green travel will receive up to four days of additional individual support to cover travel days for a return trip, if relevant.

 

The contribution to living expenses is based on the European Commission’s cost of living indexes.

Administrative procedure

Funding requests may be submitted at any time to the staff of the .

For Erasmus training visits for a duration of maximum of seven working days, the award of funding is usually automatic and immediate, subject to the limits of the annual budget of the Erasmus+ programme only.
