The geography course at Namur is very practical! We went out into the field to analyze landscapes, study rocks, observe watercourses... We tried to understand why cities were established in such and such a place, how they developed over time, why they gave rise to such and such an activity... We also traveled to discover new eco-initiatives such as an "eco-neighborhood" in the Netherlands: a community that has decided to live differently, consuming little fossil energy, using local vegetable gardens, a few cars for the whole neighborhood, eating locally and ensuring a stronger social and community life. In short, an active, forward-looking training program!

Are you torn between geography and geology?
No problem. The first block is common to both programs. You can then choose the program that suits you best and pursue a course of study that is either at the intersection of the natural sciences and the humanities, where human-environment-society interactions are studied in detail (Bachelor’s in Geography), or one focused on Earth sciences, where the management of mineral resources is examined in both space and time (Bachelor’s in Geology).
