Physics: a science for the curious…

Tell me whyUnderstanding the world, from universe to atom, from galaxies to elementary particles, being able to explain everyday life phenomena, whether they are natural or induced, here are a few motivations for students to choose physics. This thirst for knowledge adds up to society’s need for innovation, development and improvement of material and energy resources.  A permanent challenge for physicists.

Nowadays, physics is at the cross-section of different disciplines like biophysics, physical chemistry, mathematical physics, material science, electronics and computing.

This everyday interdisciplinarity defines the research undergoing at the Department of physics and supports the teaching with a solid basic Bachelor degree training followed by a thematic “matter-radiation” Master degree.
