Faculty language classes
The Department of Modern languages provides language-training courses (Dutch, English, German and Spanish) for the UNamur students (except for students specializing in Romance and Germanic languages). These courses are an integral part of the training programmes offered by the various faculties. The offer varyies from programme to programme.
Preparatory classes
The Department of Modern Languages organizes preparatory sessions in English and Dutch for future students in the Faculties of Science, Computer Science and Economic, Social and Management Sciences.
Language classes for staff members
Being proficient in one or more foreign languages in a professional context may be useful, even essential for some UNamur staff members.
The university gives the entire community the opportunity to follow foreign-language classes, provided by the Department of Modern Languages (ELV).
Classes in French as a foreign language
Classes in French as a foreign language are available only to ERASMUS students and non-French speaking researchers working at the University of Namur. Practical information is provided by the different faculties. Registrations are processed by: secretariat.elv@unamur.be
