The PTCI platform at the University of Namur provides access to computing resources designed to meet the needs of researchers and students in High Performance Computing (HPC). With its powerful computing resources and large data storage capacities, the PTCI facilitates the completion of numerous research projects while offering opportunities in fields as varied as biology, mathematics, astronomy, organic and inorganic materials, optics, and AI.
High Performance computing uses supercomputers and parallel processing to run advanced programs quickly and efficiently. We also offer training and technical support for all research projects involving high-performance computing.
The PTCI is part of the Consortium for Intensive Computing Equipment (CÉCI).
Why use Hig Performance computing?
Accelerate your simulations and analyses
HPC systems combine hundreds of processors, large amounts of memory, and high-speed storage capabilities to process simulations in a short amount of time.
Processing large amounts of data
Whether you work with large data sets or perform calculations that take weeks or even months on a personal computer, HPC systems can significantly speed up your workflow.
Access shared resources
As a member of CÉCI, PTCI provides access to resources shared among Belgium's five French-speaking universities.
How do I access the PTCI?
The University of Namur's High Performance Computing infrastructure (PTCI) can be accessed remotely from anywhere in the world via the Consortium des Équipements de Calcul Intensif (CÉCI) portal. It is open to all university teachers, researchers, staff, and students.
Students and young researchers must be supervised by a professor or senior researcher in order to access CÉCI resources.
Documentation and support
All practical information on accessing the PTCI infrastructure, as well as a guide on configuring and submitting tasks, is available on the CÉCI documentation page.
If you have any questions or require assistance, the PTCI team can be contacted at the following address: ptci.support@unamur.be.
