Goals

The purpose of this lecture is to help students to acquire the mathematical skills they need in order to learn economic theory.

Content

This lecture is an introduction to mathematical tools needed in economics:

  • Matrices and linear systems;
  • Euclidian spaces;
  • Multivariate functions (limits and continuity);
  • Differentiation of multivariable functions;
  • Multivariable optimization with or without constraints.
