This CaNDLE project is based on the fact that UNamur, thanks to the Haugimont Estate, is both a producer of raw materials and a major consumer of them (particularly in the construction of its buildings). More info in French here...

Collaborations and partnerships

The Namur Innovative City Lab and TRAK[K]

The University of Namur has joined forces with the City of Namur and the Province's Economic Office (BEP) to set up the Namur Innovative City Lab, along with other partners. This portfolio of 11 projects aims to position the Walloon capital as a "smart city" and is part of the ERDF 2014-2020 call for projects.
TRAK[K] is a creative hub in which UNamur plays an active role. Ideally located in the heart of the city, this multidisciplinary space aims to foster the emergence of a creative and participative community, involving local stakeholders. Find out more (in French) here...

Namur Digital Institute (NaDI)

Bringing together five research centres from various disciplines, the Namur Digital Institute (NaDI) offers unique multidisciplinary expertise in all areas of computer science, its applications and its social impact. Its core competencies include formal methods, human-computer interface, requirements engineering, modelling techniques for reasoning and designing complex software systems, testing, quality assurance, software product lines, databases, big data, machine learning and more generally artificial intelligence, security, privacy, ethics by design, technology assessment and legal reasoning.
