Digital education

One of the research themes of the Namur Digital Institute (NaDI) is digital education. Faced with technological developments such as Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, algorithms, the Internet of Things, robots, platforms, cybersecurity, etc., digital education has become a major issue for our society. The Confluent des Savoirs (CDS)

CDS is the UNamur centre for scientific culture and knowledge dissemination. Providing accessible knowledge, inviting scientists to bridge the gap between their research and the general public, means creating or restoring a dialogue between science and society and facing up to current issues and challenges.

Objectives :

• The dissemination of knowledge
• The organisation of mediation and awareness-raising activities on scientific culture
• Research results outreach in all disciplines.

The CDS is one of the actors of the Réseau Scité: the inter-university network that links the five science dissemination units of the Universities of the Walloon-Brussels Federation.  More information (in French) here...

As an NGO within a university, the University Forum for International Development Cooperation (FUCID) aims to be a place of meeting, expression, debate, advocacy, awareness and commitment, action, militancy and utopia. A network of men and women sharing the same values of solidarity and citizenship.  It is rooted in the vision of UNamur and in this framework participates in the overall objective of the university, namely to train responsible actors in society for a more just, sustainable and equitable world, with respect for human rights. Better training for students on transition and responsible management issues

This CaNDLE 2021 Project is based on the Master programme in management sciences, which trains the managers, entrepreneurs and businesswomen of tomorrow. Carried out in collaboration with UCLouvain, it will analyse students' social representations of sustainable development, transition and corporate social responsibility, and the way in which these concepts are integrated by professors into their courses. UNe3 is a showcase that highlights the ecosystem in which UNamur is embedded. Its vocation is to facilitate and encourage interactions between its different actors. In this project, UNamur demonstrates its commitment to developing the transversal skills of its students and to encouraging the deployment of active and experiential teaching methods. UNamur is a partner of STEAMULI, a space of activities in Sciences, Technologies, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics, proposed by different partners active within the province of Namur.  The objective is to make activities available that stimulate and develop STEAM skills for young and old.  Read more (in French) here...
