Recognition of the profession
"All researchers engaged in a research career should be recognised as professionals and treated accordingly. This recognition should start at the beginning of their career, i.e. at postgraduate level, and should encompass all levels, regardless of their classification at national level (e.g. employee, postgraduate student, doctoral student, PhD fellow, civil servant)".
