PERMANENT faculty members

	Alain Decrop Alain Decrop is Full Professor of Marketing at the University of Namur, Belgium. Founding member and former Director of NADI-CeRCLe (Namur Digital Institute - Center for Research on Consumption and Leisure) and of CCMS (Center for research on Consumers and Marketing Strategy, with UCLouvain), he is also 1^st Vice-President of the French Marketing Association (AFM). He holds master degrees in modern history and economics, and a Ph.D. in business administration. His research interests include consumer behavior, collaborative economy, qualitative methods, and leisure/tourism marketing. He is the author and editor of many books including “Sustainable and Collaborative Tourism in a Digital World” (Goodfellow, 2021) and “Consumer behavior in tourism and hospitality research” (Emerald, 2017). His other works have appeared in a number of edited books and leading academic journals, including Annals of Tourism Research, International Journal of Advertising, Journal of Business Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Public Policy Marketing, Journal of Travel Research, Psychology and Marketing, Recherches et Applications en Marketing, and Tourism Management. Finally, Alain Decrop has produced five films to document research outputs related to postmodern consumption. Three of these films have been awarded at major conferences and festivals, including ACR’s (Association of Consumer Research) film festival. Read more
	Wafa Hammedi Wafa Hammedi, Ph.D, is Professor of Service Innovation and Marketing at the University of Namur-Belgium. She received her Ph.D from the Institute for Management Research, Radboud University Nijmegen, The Netherlands. Her primary research interests include service innovation, actor (User, customer and frontline employees) engagement. She is also interested in co-creation mechanisms (eg: gamification) during open/collaborative innovation and within digital platforms in Business-to Business and B-to-C contexts. Her ongoing projects include vulnerable service users (e.g. patients, users in the bottom of the pyramid) and also vulnerable service frontline employees (e.g.: disabled, ill-being, etc). She has published in highly recognized journals such as the Journal of Product Innovation Management, Journal of Interactive Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Service Management, Journal of Brand Management, Journal of Service Marketing, Decision Management, Recherche et Applications en Marketing, International Journal of Electronic Commerce, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Journal of Marketing Management, etc. She is the co-founder of the Annual Doctoral Symposium in the Service field "AMA - SERVSIG - Let's Talk About Service”. She serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Services Marketing, and is member of the Editorial Boards of several journals. Read more
	Julie Masset Lecturer in Marketing, Julie Masset joined the centre in 2008. Her research interests include consumer research, qualitative methods, and leisure and tourism marketing. Read more
	Pietro Zidda Pietro Zidda is full professor of marketing and management at the University of Namur (UNamur). Since August 2022, he is the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Social Sciences and Management. His main research interests concern retail marketing and management in general and more specifically the modeling of consumer choice behaviors, particularly in the field of customer relationship management (e.g., store and brand loyalty) but also in the consumer adoption and evaluation of new technologies (e.g., mobile payment, collaborative platform, interactive recommendation system). DOCTORAL STUDENTS

	Sara Belghiti Sara Belghiti is a PhD student doing her thesis under the supervision of Pr. Wafa Hammedi (University of Namur) and Pr. Thomas Leclercq (IÉSEG School of Management, Paris). Her main areas of expertise are focused on service smartness, technology and well-being. Sara's doctoral program revolves around the three axes based on her doctoral thesis. The first chapter, currently under preparation, consists of a systematic literature review around smart services and, more generally, the smartness concept. The next two chapters of Sara's thesis are of a more empirical nature. Read more
	Claire Deventer Claire Deventer is a PhD researcher in digital marketing at the NaDI-CeRCLe research centre of the University of Namur, Belgium. Her research interests focus on the impact of technology on customer behaviour and experience, especially in an e-commerce context. Her work includes analyses about product configurator systems, product recommendation systems, chatbots and more recently non-fungible tokens. Her work is done in collaboration with the research and development department of SkalUP, a company specialised in product configuration and recommendation systems, where she operates as a data scientist. 	Nathalie Dumont Teaching and research assistant at UNamur, Nathalie joined the centre in 2017. She is interested in media and entertainment marketing, and consumer behaviour. She does a PhD on “Consumer's media behaviour and experience on video-on-demand platforms", under the guidance of Prof. A. Decrop (UNamur). Read more
	Floriane Goosse Teaching and research assistant at UNamur, Floriane joined the centre in 2022 after a master's in Business Engineering & innovation at the Louvain School of Management. She is particularly interested in service inclusion, the human-technology relationship and its impacts. She's doing her PhD under Prof. Wafa Hammedi (UNamur) and Dominik Mahr (University of Maastricht) guidance. Read more
	Florence Nizette Joint PhD researcher at the University of Namur and Hasselt University, Florence joined the centre in 2022. Her research interests relate to transparent AI, explainable AI and malevolent AI from a consumer perspective. She does a PhD on the role of transparent AI on consumer trust, under the guidance of Profs. Wafa Hammedi (UNamur), Nadia Steils (HEC Liège) and Allard Van Riel (UHasselt). Read more
	Victor Sluyters Victor joined the centre as a PhD researcher and teaching assistant in September 2022. Freshly graduated in business engineering with a major in Data Science and a minor in Finance, he is mainly interested in the impact of new technologies on users' behaviour and experience, especially in service areas. Associated RESEARCHERS

	Virginie Bruneau Assistant Professor of Marketing at Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management (ULB), Virginie joined the center in 2010. She is interested in store loyalty issues and customer relationships. She did a PhD at the Louvain School of Management (LSM, UCL) on loyalty program membership under the guidance of Prof. Pietro Zidda (UNamur) and Prof. Valérie Swaen (UCL). Read more
	François Dessart Policy analyst at the European Commission, François mainly works on research projects applying behavioural insights to policy-making. He has a particular interest in understanding how insights from behavioural sciences can be used to better design and evaluate environmental and consumer protection policies. He joined the Center in 2010 and did a PhD at Unamur on sustainable consumption under the guidance of Prof. Alain Decrop (Unamur). Read more
	Thomas Leclerq Assistant Professor at IESEG School of Management (Lille, France), Thomas joined the center in 2012. His research interests relate to product innovation, service management and digital marketing. He carried out a PhD thesis on the use of gamification mechanics to engage users in a value cocreation process, under the guidance of Profs. Wafa Hammedi (UNamur) and Ingrid Poncin (UCL Mons). 	Nadia Steils Assistant Professor in Digital Marketing at IAE Lille, Nadia has interests in consumer e-learning, consumer behaviours, knowledge, new technologies and learning related issues. She joined the center in 2012 and did a PhD on the antecedents and consequences of consumers' e-learning processes, under the guidance of Profs. Alain Decrop (UNamur) and Dominique Crié (IAE, University of Lille1). Read more
