Elected to the Royal Academy of Belgium on March 2011, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and Life Member of Clare Hall College, University of Cambridge since 2012, Prof. Su earned his Doctorate from the University Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris, France in 1992. After his post-doctoral stay in the University of Nmaur and his research stay at Catalytica Inc., California, he joined the faculty of the University of Namur in Sept. 1995 and now is a full professor in Chemistry. He holds Chaire Francqui of Materials au Titre Belge since 2012.
Prof. Su has received a series of major awards such as the Invention Award of Sinopec in 1992, the “Adolphe Wetrems Prize” of the Royal Academy of Belgium in 2007 and the “IUPAC Distinguished Award for Novel Materials and their Synthesis” in 2011. He has published more than 400 scientific papers and book chapters and is the editor of one Wiley-VCH book and five special (Themed) issues of high profile journals with a number of citations around 12000 and an h-index of 58. He is coordinator and principle leader of more than 50 research and collaborative projects.
